年末にほっこりする映画を見たい！ということで「ジュリエットからの手紙」を見ちゃいました。赤ずきんからの、アマンダ・サイフリッド続き。
赤ずきんとは雰囲気の全く違うイタリアを舞台にした、ゆっくりと時間の流れる素敵な映画です。
婚約者は仕事が忙しく、コミュニケーションがとれないこと、一緒の時間がとれないことにフラストレーションを感じる主人公。
イタリアのヴェローナを訪れ、偶然が重なり、50年前に一緒になることがかなわなかった女性のかつての恋人を探す旅に同行することに。
結末としては、その女性に付き添っていた孫と心が通い合い、婚約は破棄というお話。
一つの恋愛の形として、二人の時間を大切にしてくれる人を運命の人として選択するプロットってあるけれど、そうでないプロットもちろんあって、どういう恋愛するかは悩みどころだなぁ、と個人的には思っていたりします。
人生で何を達成したいか、恋人とどういう関係を築いていきたいのか、そういうことをつらつら考えるお年頃です。
最後の方のシーンで流れたTaylor Swiftの挿入歌も印象的でした。
